HELLO LADIES !!!
What's happening? Last
week one of my closet school friend got married. I still can’t digest the fact
that she’s married and we are all of marriageable age.
Today's post is all
about how i used my grandmother's silk saree to make a lehenga which i used it
as a skirt for this post.
This season has seen a
lot of silks lately. I have seen the fabric being used in such a varied
products and it makes me just splurge all my spending in its purchase. Moreover
i personally feel that our country has loads of potential in its heritage, be
it our country, our heritage, our fabric, our food, our everything basically. We
just need to believe in ourselves!!
I always term my shopping
as an investment to my dad.(However he begs to differ somehow:-P)
Promotion of silks has
been on the rise even so because our fashion designers have been pretty much philanthropic
in this matter!!
I am definitive that
all you pretty ladies have beautiful mothers and grandmothers who somewhere in
their wardrobes have hidden heritage silk ensembles!!
Now is the time to use
them girls and ladies because although it will remain "EVERGREEN" you
should go out and showoff your version of the current trends as I through this
post have.
Here is my take on my
grandmother's preserved and treasured silk saree!!
I chose to pair my skirt with a plain off
shoulder black top to highlight the skirt.
Jewellery of course had to be chunky and
hep so I had no one but Pipabella to shop from as I just adore their collection
when it comes to necklace statement finger ring from BelloFox.
For the hair I went for a simple twisted hair
with middle parting and a low lying bun.THE golden raesham thread work clutch
helped me to balance the look.
Do let me know if
you all have something different way of styling the lehenga.
I love hearing from you guys do comment your various ideas in the comment section below.
Thank you so much
for stopping by and I hope your week is going to be wonderfully!
I hope you guys enjoyed the post!!
Until the Next Time,
XOXOXO,
